Mr Chips is an outstanding fish and chip shop that never disappoints. I’ve been coming here for years, and it’s just as excellent now as it was back then. I have never had better fish and chips in my life. The shop is quite small and can occasionally feel a bit cramped, depending on the day, but you’re never left waiting for long—they are incredibly efficient. The prices are also unbeatable, offering great value for money. The atmosphere is exactly what you’d hope for in a classic fish and chip shop: warm, welcoming, and authentic. The staff are always friendly, and Mr Chips himself is especially kind—he’s notably pleasant with young children and often gives them a free lollipop, which is a lovely gesture. He truly lives up to the name Mr Chips!

A very small local fish and chip shop, close to Lancing seafront. Homemade curry sauce is nice. All freshly made and nothing to complain, been using many times, not had a bad meal. Don't be put off by the dated small shop, owner couples are friendly and prices are reasonable and possibly one of the cheapest in the area, LARGE cod at £8, photo showing 1/4 of the actual cod.

Probably one of the best fish and chips In the area went here quickly never tried before don’t normally write reviews but these people deserve it! Hence why I’m here LOL got a fish cake scampi and battered sausage and pie all with chips of course probably One of the best I’ve had on a long time! Curry sauce on point! Reasonableuy priced a lot was cooked while I waited so all piping hot! Only take cash! But what are these card only places?! Cash is king!!!! 👑 Writing these while eating still (it’s that good) little gem! Will deffo be back! Kids loved it also! 😌😌 Edit** my daughter goes “dad this pie is really nice! Best I’ve ever had” Shop local people! :) Photo was just now when writing the edit! Amazing place :)

Lovely cod n chips and a good sized portion, very friendly service. I personally thought the curry sauce was a little spicy 🔥🥵 for my taste it was very nice flavour. The mushy peas went down very well with the wife too.

We ordered 2 medium cod and chips… they could have passed for a large!! Great portions! Tasty fresh fish, and perfectly cooked chips! Absolute perfection. The curry sauce is out of this world! Definitely the best we have ever had. Highly recommend Mr Chips!
